How do Residents benefit from using the mobile app?
Residents benefit from using the mobile app by having convenient control in the palm of their hands.
They can control their thermostat, door lock, entry light, and receive alerts and activity notifications directly to their mobile device.
Do residents pay a monthly subscription for the Busybee mobile app?
The resident mobile app is free, provided as a no cost, value-added amenity to the resident. It can be downloaded via Google Store or Apple
Is it required for the resident to use the mobile app?
Using the app is optional, as all automation devices can be controlled using standard methods. However, for those residents that want the high-tech, luxury living options and convenience of having a smart apartment, they can download the mobile app. The mobile app is available for Android and Apple devices.
How do I give a resident a new door code?
You can give a resident a new door code by simply revoking their access then re-adding them. They will automatically receive an email with a new door code.
Can residents control their apartment when they are not on property?
As a safety feature, the resident can only control their door lock when on property.
Can Administrative/Maintenance personnel access The Hive when they are not on property?

Can I change temperature settings to more than one apartment at one time?
Yes, you can manage all units at once by using the "bulk edit" feature.
What is considered excessive runtime of the HVAC system?
A unit that triggers excessive runtime alerts means the unit is running less than optimally. The unit may need to be serviced and preventative maintenance applied.
Why would the HVAC system constantly trigger the Excessive runtime alert?
It is likely the setpoint they are trying to achieve is unobtainable based on the environmental conditions, the HVAC may need some routine maintenance such as coil cleaning or new filter, or HVAC is undersized for the unit.
What causes a unit to be on the set-point unreachable report?
A unit where the setpoint is not reached after 2hrs+, or when the ambient temperature keeps going in the opposite direction of the climate mode, triggers the unit not heating/cooling alert. This may be caused by an issue with the HVAC (coil needs cleaning, or filter needs replacement, etc) or there may be an environmental issue in that unit (window/door open, window/door needs sealing or weather stripping) since the set point is not being reached. The resident in the room may also be setting a set point that is unobtainable based on the environmental weather conditions in your area.
What do I do if a device is off-line?
If a Busybee device shows as "off-line" you contact Busybee Support and we will dispatch a technician to quickly bring the device back online.

No, all door codes are randomly generated then emailed directly to you.
What do I do if I forgot my door code?
Don't worry! If you forget your door code simply contact you office staff and they will be able to instantly generate a new code for you.
